With pinch hitter Mickey Michael leading the charge, the Savannah Alpines got a road win over the Mt. Vernon Cyclones, 9-2, in Game 2 of the Division Series. Michael was 1 for 1 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once at Mt. Vernon Grounds to help Savannah take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Michael had a consequential at-bat in the top of the fifth for the Alpines. Coming up with the bases loaded and Savannah trailing 1-0, he hit a grand slam home run.

"Postseason wins taste oh so sweet," said Michael after the game.

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Alpines Stadium in Savannah.
