MacPherson Blasts Shamrocks, Super Troopers Take Game 5, 10-4
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the Sikeston Shamrocks on the road at Shamrocks Park by a score of 10-4. Super Troopers second baseman Mike MacPherson went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. The win gives the Super Troopers a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Series.

A key moment came with two out in the top of the third. That's when MacPherson hit a fastball from Tom Donnelly for a solo home run, putting Santa Barbara up, 3-1.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said MacPherson.

The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 18th , 2024 at Car Ramrod Park in Santa Barbara.
