Howard, Shamrocks Wallop Super Troopers in Game 2 of DS
|
Sikeston center fielder Jayden Howard produced all the offense the Shamrocks would need in the club's 14-0 win over the Santa Barbara Super Troopers.
Howard was 2-4 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 4, while Sikeston moved into a tie in the Division Series. The Shamrocks and Super Troopers are now even at 1-1 in the best-of-7 series.
In the top of the first, Nick Owens ambushed a 1-2 fastball from Alvaro Ochoa and hit a 2-run home run. It gave Sikeston a quick 2-0 lead.
"You can't sugarcoat this one," said Santa Barbara manager Jimmy Jacobs. "We got trounced."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 14th , 2024 at Shamrocks Park in Sikeston.
