When the games really matter, the Little Rock Golden Gophers put on their best show, beating the Medford Desperados by a final score of 11-10. Matt Dean was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 5. The series now sits at 1-1 in the best-of-7 affair.

The game turned with no one out in the bottom of the eighth. That's when Dean hit a grand slam home run off Jesse Alexander. It propelled the Golden Gophers into the lead, 11-10.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Little Rock manager Michael Kelleher.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Ballpark of Medford in Medford.
