The Providence Hex racked up a win at Ballpark of Medford, bumping off the Medford Desperados, 3-0. Frank Rivera, who started for Providence, pitched effectively for his team. D.J. Nelson locked down his 5th save. Medford, with the loss, is still a robust 17-2.

Justin Richardson had a direct impact on the outcome. Richardson contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the eighth inning to put Providence up, 2-0.

"Frank had good arm action, good stuff," said Providence manager Dave Hale.
