The Division Series got off to a quiet start, with the traveling London Tigers taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the host Sonoma Scorpions. London right-hander Antonio Mendoza was marvelous at Ballpark of North Richland Hills. The Tigers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Mendoza, who was born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, threw 89 pitches over 7 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Mendoza.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of North Richland Hills in Sonoma.
