The Ottawa Lynx topped the Greensboro Naturals by a score of 7-4. Leading the way was center fielder Mark Thompson. Thompson was 3-5 with a home run and a double, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Lynx. Getting the save was Esteban Montoya, his 1st. The victory makes Ottawa 11-6.

Lyle Blakesley had a big 2-run home run for the Lynx in the bottom of the third inning. With Ottawa leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Rafael Estrada and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 3rd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lynx ahead, 3-0.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Ottawa manager Nick Boyd.
