The Little Rock Golden Gophers downed the St. Joseph Mighty Mites, 3-1, at Little Rock Grounds. Dan McNamara led the way, going 2-for-3 for Little Rock. Now 2-15, the 2025 Mighty Mites have sputtered in the early going.

In the bottom of the sixth, Little Rock catcher Malcolm Garner gave his team the lead. With no one out and a runner on 1st, Stump hit his 4th home run of the year. St. Joseph pitcher Jim Unknown surrendered it. With that, the Golden Gophers jumped in front, 2-1.

"This game is going to humble you at times and you've got to man up and deal with it," said St. Joseph manager Chris Houston.
