The Ottawa Lynx handed the Newport Unicorns a sound defeat, 13-3, at Rivermen Ballpark. Pat Cureton was a main contributor to the win. Dave King drove in one run for Ottawa. In a tie game with one out in the bottom of the sixth, King came through with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Lynx in front, 4-3.
