In a tight contest between the Providence Hex and the Ottawa Lynx, Jim Miller was the determining factor. The Providence right-hander sparkled in his team's 3-1 win. The win takes Providence to 7-1.

The Lynx had little chance against Miller, who overpowered Ottawa hitters and struck out 10.

"Winning never gets old," said Hex manager Dave Hale.
