Desperados Keep Streak Alive with Late Rally

Powered by Tony Sanchez, the Medford Desperados downed the Aurora Paints, 6-4. Sanchez was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs for the Desperados. Danny Garcia, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits in 1.1 innings. Matt Howe nailed down his 1st save.
Medford used the timely hitting of Lamar Bridges to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Desperados on top, 6-4. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It all comes down to competing and our guys love to compete," said Desperados manager Noah Alexander.
The win gives Medford a record of 4-2.
