In a low-scoring game between the Providence Hex and the Aurora Paints, pitcher Juan Ramirez was masterful on the mound. The Providence left-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. With the loss, Aurora drops to 2-4.
Providence took a 1-0 lead on Mike Chaloux's 3rd home run of the season. The solo home run, which Chaloux hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Aurora pitcher Carlos Rios visibly frustrated.
"If we keep winning the close games," Chaloux said, "we'll be in good shape at the end."
