The Providence Hex pounded the Aurora Paints, 14-1, at Ballpark of Providence. Providence left fielder Rafael Miranda had a game-changing performance. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Dennis Black earned the win. Francisco Quintero took the loss for Aurora. The win leaves Providence with a record of 4-1.

With Providence leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Roberto Vazquez hit a run-scoring single off Aurora pitcher Francisco Quintero. It put the Hex ahead 2-0.
