Black Aces Pick Up 8-6 Win Against Medford
Ballpark of Medford was the site of the home opener for the Medford Desperados. The contest featured a prime matchup between Will Gardner of the visiting Santa Ana Black Aces and Antonio Rodriguez of the Desperados. The final score was 8-6, the Black Aces getting the win. Jake Criscuolo turned in the best performance. Will Gardner was the winner. He's now 1-0. The loser was 22-year old left-handed pitcher Antonio Rodriguez.

Santa Ana used a well-timed hit by Kyle Twigg to capture the win. The center fielder socked a bases-clearing double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Black Aces ahead, 6-5. Though it was his only hit in 5 at-bats, it was important.

"Enjoyed this one," Twigg told the Santa Ana Today. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
