Pirates Slap 4-2 Loss on Terra Linda
|
Ballpark of Plantersville was the site of a competitive game between the Terra Linda Chargers and Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates.
The Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates racked up a win at Ballpark of Plantersville, bumping off the Terra Linda Chargers, 4-2. Cherles Lcio, who started for Saint Pierre and Miquelon, pitched effectively for his team. Lcio picked up the win for Saint Pierre and Miquelon, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 5-0. Chase Harriger collected his 12th save.
Casey Henderson came through with a big-time hit for Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The first baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 4-2. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"Cherles made some big pitches when he needed to," said Pirates manager Walt DeRosier.
Saint Pierre and Miquelon goes to 39-6. The win puts them 6 games up in their division.
