Buffalo turned a good effort from starter Omar Sotelo into a win over the Borrego Springs Rams at Wegman's Field. The final score was 5-2. Sotelo yielded no runs over 6 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 0, and struck out 7. His record improves to 10-0. The winning continues for Buffalo, with the latest triumph making it 8 straight.
The Bellflowers got an important contribution from right fielder Marcos Cortez, who in the bottom of the sixth hit a 2-2 curveball to center for a 2-run triple. It was his 3rd triple of the season and put the Bellflowers ahead, 3-0.
"I've been criticized for being a slacker, but the one thing I do care about is winning," Sotelo told the Buffalo Chronicle.
