The Whitby Bats welcomed the Long Island Torpedoes to an afternoon game at Eláguila Stadia.

Long Island catcher Matt Danner had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-4, to Whitby at Eláguila Stadia. Danner was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Chris McAuley recorded the save, his 3rd.

Making an impact for Whitby was third baseman Andres Vega. Mugsy drilled a 2-run home run off Mario Santana in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, Vega went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.

Said Long Island manager Victor Sepulveda: "They just got the better of us."

The second-place Bats are now 33-12, the Torpedoes 13-32.
