The Whitby Bats defeated the Borrego Springs Rams, 3-2, in Northern Conference action at Eláguila Stadia. Whitby pitcher Danny Garcia had a standout performance. The save was credited to Angel Alvarez, his 4th.

Naji Lahab drove in one run for Whitby. With two out and the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, Lahab had a clutch at-bat. Facing Borrego Springs hurler Pat Fortney, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run to give the Bats a 3-2 lead.

"It was a good night for them and a bad night for us," said Borrego Springs manager Michael Wright.
