Chargers Rally Late to Nip Mounties
|
The Terra Linda Chargers picked up a win at Ballpark of Plantersville, taking down the Moncton Mounties, 5-4. Starting pitcher Omar Valentin was a big reason why. With the win, Terra Linda goes to 23-13, while the Mounties fall to 22-14.
Terra Linda got a knockout punch from Rich Brown. The second baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"Omar is tough when he's hitting his spots," said Terra Linda manager Elias Quesada.
