The Whitby Bats took on the Lincoln Princes at Eláguila Stadia.
Lincoln got a decent performance from pitcher Jim Unknown, but it wasn't enough to beat the Whitby Bats. Whitby won the Eláguila Stadia contest, 3-0. Unknown threw 7.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. The win went to Billy Shields in relief. His record improves to 2-3. Jim Unknown took the loss.
Whitby catcher Justin Cole landed a blow when he belted a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. It was his 4th home run of the season. With it, the Bats took a 2-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Whitby manager David Sawyers.
With the win, Whitby goes to 17-17, while the Princes fall to 10-24.
