The 4-hit performance of Marco Grijalva, who is tied for 5th in the NC in triples with 2, helped the Whitby Bats beat the Lincoln Princes, 10-1. Ramiro Rodriguez snagged the win in relief. He goes to 1-0 on the season. Luis Ontiveras suffered the loss. By defeating Lincoln, the second-place Bats improved to 24-9.

Whitby grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Grijalva hit a 3-run home run off Luis Ontiveras. His 5th home run of the season put the Bats out in front, 4-1.

"We'll need a much better effort, the next time out," said losing manager Jorge Vasquez.
