Princes Win Squeaker, 6-5, Over Chargers

Lincoln beat Terra Linda at Ballpark of Plantersville, eking out a 6-5 win. The triumph was primarily due to third baseman Kevin Schneider. He was 2 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Lincoln reliever Jim Unknown picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Rich Hepler took the loss. The 4th-place Princes hiked their record to 18-14.
Had Schneider not come through in the top of the ninth, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Schneider hit a bases-clearing double. The Princes took the lead, 6-5, and never looked back.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Lincoln manager Andy Hadley.
