The Long Island Torpedoes beat the Plymouth Rockers, 5-3. Long Island pitcher and Tlalnepantla, Mexico, native Armando Castro led the way. Steven Rudolph recorded his 4th save for Long Island. The win gives the Torpedoes a record of 9-21.

The Torpedoes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Ismael Ramos, who in the bottom of the fourth hit a solo home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Torpedoes on top, 4-2.

After the game, Long Island manager Victor Sepulveda applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.
