Mounties Lose Late to Bellflowers
The Buffalo Bellflowers picked up a win at Mapleton Yards, downing the Moncton Mounties, 4-1. On the mound for Buffalo was right-hander Ben Calder, who played a pivotal role in the win. The Bellflowers, at 22-10, sit in first place in the Northern Conference East Division.

Bobby Scheffel came through with a big-time hit for Buffalo. The second baseman smacked a 2-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 3-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"I'm just trying to make sure I'm focused for each and every pitch," said Calder.
