With Late Score, Mounties Beat Bellflowers
|
Buffalo got a terrific performance from pitcher David Hernandez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Moncton Mounties. Moncton won the Mapleton Yards contest, 1-0. Hernandez threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. The Bellflowers, now 21-10, have lost 4 straight.
Moncton took a 1-0 lead on Matt Unger's 4th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Unger hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Buffalo pitcher Jordan Green visibly frustrated.
"Scoring was at a premium tonight," Unger said.
