Plymouth and Buffalo got after it at Madison Grounds.

Riding the 2-hit performance of the 23-year old left fielder Chad Nilsen, the Plymouth Rockers stopped the Buffalo Bellflowers, 8-2. Losses have been rare for the Bellflowers, who are now 21-7.

Nilsen contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Plymouth in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 2-0, Nilsen took a fastball from Mike Reich and stroked the home run to left-center. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Rockers to leap in front, 3-2.

Nilsen told a Plymouth Daily News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.
