Cubs Win, 3-1, at Whitby

The Franklin Cubs beat the Whitby Bats, 3-1, at Eláguila Stadia. Starting pitcher Eric Mohr was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Picking up the save was Rich Sargent, his 2nd. The Bats drop to 13-14 and continue their mediocre start to the 2022 season.
The Cubs got a big at-bat from left fielder Jaden Lewis. For the game, Lewis was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave Franklin a 2-0 lead.
Mohr expressed little emotion after the game. "Every game we win now," he said, "is one less win we'll need to get in the end."
