Riding the 3-hit performance of the slugging third baseman John Gadsden, the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates defeated the Buffalo Bellflowers, 7-0. Matt Lofstrom, the winning pitcher, improved to 6-0. He pitched 6.2 innings, giving up 7 hits and no runs, while striking out 8 and walking 0. The Pirates, now 24-4, have stormed out of the gates.

In the first inning, Gadsden had a 2-run home run for Saint Pierre and Miquelon. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Pirates on top, 2-0.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Gadsden told the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Times. "It's as simple as that."
