A good performance from shortstop Adam Chunn helped the Whitby Bats defeat the Long Island Torpedoes, 6-4. Chunn was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Bats. Mike Allen came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. Danny Andrade picked up the save for Whitby, his 1st of the year.

Whitby first baseman Dan Navarro helped the Bats go up, 5-4, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Navarro hit a run-scoring single off Long Island pitcher Jon Lopez.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Navarro told the Whitby Daily.

With this game in the books, Whitby is 15-12, Long Island 16-11.
