Cubs Roll to 8-1 Win Over Bellflowers
The Franklin Cubs knocked off the Buffalo Bellflowers, 8-1, in Northern Conference action at Franklin Park. Franklin pitcher and Killeen, Texas, native Paul Dolezal had an outstanding performance. For Buffalo, now 16-8, wins have been plentiful, losses few.

The Cubs had to work out of trouble in the top of the eighth. The score was 8-1, Franklin, with one out. Buffalo, with the bases loaded, was mounting a threat. Chris Cooper dug in at the plate, but on a 1-2 slider, he grounded out.
