Aiello Slugs Torpedoes to 13-11 Win
The Long Island Torpedoes defeated the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates, 13-11, at Centerville Grounds. Long Island designated hitter John Aiello had a superb performance. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice. Jordan Garcia earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. Saint Pierre and Miquelon, now 6-18, continues its tough start.

In the bottom of the seventh, the Torpedoes grabbed the lead when Aiello hit his 11th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Jim Unknown made it 13-11, Long Island.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Aiello.
