Borrego Springs parlayed a decent outing from starter R.J. Eisen into a solid win over the Moncton Mounties. The final score was 4-3. Moncton is 11-11 after the defeat.

Batting in the bottom of the ninth, 22-year old third baseman Angelo Flores had a real shot to win the game. Moncton pitcher Chris Gabbitas was determined not to let it happen. But with two outs, Flores hit a run-scoring single. The Rams had a walk-off triumph.

"It's great when the crowd is energized," Flores said.
