Starting pitcher Greg Forness fulfilled his part of the bargain, helping the Moncton Mounties stymie the Franklin Cubs, 3-2. Franklin is now 10-9.

Moncton used a clutch at-bat from Charlie Harrison to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Mounties ahead, 2-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"I was talking to myself on the mound, saying 'attack, attack, attack, stay convicted, no matter what,'" said Forness.
