Bellflowers third baseman Cesar Mena put his stamp on his team's 16-4 win over the Franklin Cubs. Mena was 4 for 5 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for Buffalo in the contest. David Hernandez got the win, improving to 2-0. He pitched 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 4 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 2. At 12-4, the 2022 Bellflowers have been excellent so far.

Buffalo used a clutch at-bat from Caleb Langenwalter to capture the win. The center fielder hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Bellflowers ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a humdinger.
