Behind the bravura of catcher Dallas Remmert, the Moncton Mounties topped the Long Island Torpedoes by the score of 5-3. Remmert went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Mounties. Matt Schmidt earned the save for Moncton, his 4th. No one expected much of this team, but the hot start by Moncton might have some re-evaluating their pre-season predictions. This latest win lifts their record to 9-6.

Craig Booker dealt the Torpedoes a blow in the top of the fourth. Batting with the bases loaded and Moncton leading 1-0, Booker hit a 2-1 fastball for a run-scoring single.

"The vibe's good," said Moncton manager Kevin Squillace. "We've got to keep it going."
