The Buffalo Bellflowers beat the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates by a score of 8-7. Buffalo center fielder Jose Yenores deserved the lion's share of the credit. Yenores went 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Bellflowers. Buffalo, at 12-3, is off to a blistering start.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Buffalo trailing 7-6, Yenores jumped on a changeup from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Toru Nishimura and hit a 2-run home run to right. With one swing, the Bellflowers had a walk-off win.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Saint Pierre and Miquelon manager Bryan Crockett. "But we decided not to take it."
