Lincoln and Long Island duked it out and the Princes came out victorious.

Led by Juan Perez, the Lincoln Princes defeated the Long Island Torpedoes, 8-5. Perez was 3 for 3 with a home run, 2 singles, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Princes. Lincoln pitcher Emmanuel Ortega got the win. He's now 1-2. Armando Castro was tagged with the loss.

With Lincoln leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Perez hit a sinker from Armando Castro for a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and put the Princes ahead, 3-0.

"Our guys are never satisfied," said Lincoln manager Jorge Vasquez.

The Torpedoes drop to 5-9, as their stumbling start to the 2023 season continues.
