Bats Tuck Away 7-6 Win Over Tiverton
Whitby and Tiverton duked it out and the Bats came out victorious.

The Tiverton Colonels could not turn a fine performance from center fielder Federico Rosales into a win. Instead, the Whitby Bats prevailed, 7-6. Rosales went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Mike Allen collected save number 1.

Had Luis Gonzalez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Gonzalez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Bats.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Tiverton manager Chris Hartman. "The effort was great."

The triumph makes Whitby 8-6, as the team begins another long trek toward the playoffs in 2026.
