The Moncton Mounties trumped the Moriarty Suns, 10-0, at Super Solarplex. Moncton catcher Elijah Pleasant was terrific. He went 4 for 5 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3. Tarjei Wiese earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 5 innings. He upped his record to 5-0. With the loss, Moriarty is 8-6.

Moncton used a well-timed hit by Adam Robertson to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the Mounties ahead, 4-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"I thought we played a nice game," Pleasant told the Moncton Citizen. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
