The Whitby Bats beat the Moncton Mounties, 10-3, at Eláguila Stadia. The Bats got a fine performance from first baseman Lamar Bridges, who was 4 for 4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Josh Poehlein went 5.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits. The right-hander struck out 4 and walked 0. With the win, he's now 2-0 this season. Now 10-2, the 2024 Bats have been phenomenal so far.

Randy Ruhl, who is tied for 4th in the NC in home runs with 5, came through for Whitby with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. The third baseman went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 3 runs batted in.
