Davidson, Bats Too Much for Torpedoes
Led by Dave Davidson, the Whitby Bats downed the Long Island Torpedoes, 8-3. Davidson was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 for the Bats. Rafael Baray claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. His record stands at 1-0. The Bats, now 11-3, have been on fire in the early going.

Whitby used the bat of Sean Custis to get the win. The catcher hit a fastball from Daniel Williams out of the park for a grand slam home run. The blast came in the top of the fourth inning and put the Bats on top, 4-2. It was Custis's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"A great game, a great day," said Davidson about the win. "I can't complain."
