The Buffalo Bellflowers earned a close win over the Whitby Bats, thanks in part to Jeremy Reich. The Buffalo right-hander played a key role in the 10-inning, 3-1 victory. Buffalo reliever Steve Ray picked up the win, raising his record to 2-0. Juan Mejia was tagged with the loss. Pedro Tello picked up his 3rd save of the season.

Buffalo took a 3-1 lead on Antonio Encinas's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Encinas hit in the top of the tenth, left Whitby pitcher Juan Mejia visibly frustrated.

"We put together a nice win," Encinas said.

With the loss, Whitby sinks to 6-5.
