Behind an impressive start by Ruben Vargas, Lincoln beat Terra Linda, 2-1. Vargas, the winner, moves to 1-0. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball, while fanning 3 and giving up 1 walk. With the loss, Terra Linda drops to 7-2.
Lincoln first baseman Brad Raska contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball into center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 13th hit of the season and put the Princes ahead, 2-1.
