The Lincoln Princes defeated the Franklin Cubs, 10-7. Doing his part was left fielder Eric Hying, who went 2-5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Lincoln used the timely hitting of Armando Moronta to capture the win. The first baseman socked a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Princes ahead, 10-7. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a big one.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Moronta said.
