Pirates Reel Off Another Win
The Whitby Bats got a sterling performance from right fielder Brett Cortright, but the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates still prevailed, 6-5. Cortright hit 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The win went to Evan Sippel in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Chris McAuley took the loss. The loss makes Whitby 7-2.

Jason Reiss came through with a big-time hit for Saint Pierre and Miquelon. The pinch hitter smacked a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to give his team the lead, 6-5. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Winning breeds more winning, I guess," said Reiss.
