Dominant Performance by Padilla in Whitby Win
|
Franklin Park was the site of a tense game between the Franklin Cubs and Whitby Bats.
In a low-scoring game between the Whitby Bats and the Franklin Cubs, pitcher Vinny Padilla was masterful on the mound. The Whitby right-hander spearheaded his team's 3-1 win. Leo Fonseca earned the save for Whitby, his 1st of the year.
Padilla delivered a quality start for Whitby. The 6-foot-6 right-hander allowed 1 earned run on 4 hits over 8.1 innings of work.
"I put my work in and trusted the process," said Padilla.
Whitby goes to 5-2.
