Rams Suffer 8-3 Loss to Bats
A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Whitby Bats and Borrego Springs Rams.

The Whitby Bats defeated the Borrego Springs Rams by the score of 8-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to catcher Brandon Coleman. Coleman went 2-4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Bats on the day. The Bats, now 4-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

In the bottom of the second inning, third baseman Javier Antongiorgi had a 3-run home run for Whitby. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Bats on top, 4-3.

"If you don't take any pitches off, you've got a chance to impact the game, and that's what we did," said Whitby skipper Mike Boyd.
