Stuart, Pirates Get 2-0 Win
|
Opening day festivities have begun throughout the league. Fans of the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates were eager to watch Mark Stuart square off against John Pritt of the visiting Lincoln Princes. In the end, the Pirates won the game, 2-0, with Mark Stuart leading the way. Picking up the save was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Evan Sippel.
Stuart's performance can only be described as masterful. He notched 10 strikeouts in 6.1 innings while allowing 2 hits. Stuart goes to 1-0 on the year with 10 strikeouts.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Stuart.
