The home crowd had a good time watching the Riverside Wolverines and Sunrise Manor Sunchasers get after it.
The Sunrise Manor Sunchasers got a stellar effort from pitcher Christian Chervenka, helping Sunrise Manor score a win over the visiting Riverside Wolverines, 4-1. Sunrise Manor is 57-82 and Riverside, with the loss, 95-44.
Chervenka was effective for Sunrise Manor, seldom allowing the Wolverines to square up a pitch. The right-hander tossed 83 pitches over 7.1 innings. He limited Riverside to just 1 run on 2 hits.
"Winning the game is always the first objective," Chervenka said.
