Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes and Sunrise Manor Sunchasers.

Sunrise Manor first baseman Tom Lambert had a good game, even if his team did not. The Sunchasers dropped a 7-5 decision to Ft. Wayne at Field of the Sunchasers. Lambert was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The win was credited to 20-year old right-handed pitcher Raynaud Giuliani in relief. His record improves to 12-2. Asakichi Funaki took the loss. Marcos Patino closed it out for his 28th save.

Chris Benedict, who is tied for 2nd in the SC in runs scored with 120, came through for Ft. Wayne with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. The right fielder went 2 for 5 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 2 runs and collected 2 RBI.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Benedict.

The Earthquakes improved to a lofty 109-29.
