Providence Triumphs with Late Surge
The Providence Hex took on the Greensboro Naturals at Ballpark of Providence.

Providence pitcher Davis Novoa had a large part in his team beating the Greensboro Naturals, 6-3. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Novoa got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 8.1 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

David Boswell took Greensboro hurler David Sanko deep in the bottom of the eighth. His 3-run home run put the Hex on top, 6-3. In all, Boswell had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
