The Little Rock Golden Gophers opened their 2025 season with a disappointing 13-5 loss to the Julian Jammers at Little Rock Grounds. First Baseman Kolton Commo was a big part of the win for Julian. He was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 3. Picking up the win was Brian Sanborn. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits. The left--hander struck out 1 and walked 3.

In the top of the sixth, Julian center fielder Eric Jubin had a run-producing at-bat. Facing Little Rock hurler Ben Winters, Jubin drew a walk, driving in 1 run. That made the score 5-2, Julian. For the day, Jubin drew 1 walk in 5 trips to the plate.
