John Kehlenbeck said "it felt like taking batting practice" at Notre Dame Stadium, and it showed in the box score. The Notre Dame High School first baseman had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the Lowndes High School Vikings, leading his club to victory, 16-5.
"I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," Kehlenbeck said later."
John Kehlenbeck singled in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Chris Skinner in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Gary Bartik in the 5th and hit a three-run home run off Ilusuarte Gaio in the 7th.
So far this season, Kehlenbeck is batting .625 with 6 home runs, 17 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 32 at-bats, 2 walks and a .647 OBP. Kehlenbeck has played in 7 games.
